Dorothy Dyson is my great grandmother and in the tradition of celebrating the women in my family, I'm naming this quilt Dorothy Dyson after my mother's much-loved grandmother.

The Dorothy Dyson Quilt is an upsized version of the Double Sawtooth Star in my Martha BOM. I loved making them so much, I decided to make more. I used a big variety of low volumes for the backgrounds with complimentary florals. The result is a soft, pretty quilt that looks vintage and well-loved, but made on the machine.
