These clever little Heat Erasable Pens from Kearing are one of those sewing-room helpers you don't realise you need until you've got them — and then suddenly you're wondering how you ever managed without them!
The KEA-HE10S set contains four fine-tip fabric marking pens in black, white, blue and pink, giving you a handy choice depending on the colour of the fabric you're working on. The 1mm tips make it easy to draw accurate lines for quilting, embroidery, patchwork, sewing and general fabric marking without a big chunky line getting in the way.
And the clever bit? The marks are designed to disappear with heat from an iron, or they can be removed by washing. So you can mark your sewing lines, placement points, quilting designs or other temporary guides, do your stitching, and then make those marks disappear when you're finished. Magic! ✨
The water-based, non-toxic ink is suitable for a variety of fabrics including cotton, linen, canvas, denim and more. Kearing recommends testing the pen on a scrap or inconspicuous area first, particularly when working with delicate fabrics.

How to use them
Use the pens to draw temporary markings directly onto your fabric, then simply remove the marks with the heat of an iron once you're finished sewing. Alternatively, the markings can be removed by washing.
A little Rainbow Stash reminder: Always test your chosen pen and fabric combination first. Heat-sensitive marking pens aren't suitable for every fabric or every situation, so a quick test on a scrap is definitely worth doing before marking your actual quilt!
