Hello Spring by Lindsey Neill of Pen + Paper Patterns is the sort of quilt that makes you want to dig through the stash for all the happy colours. With sweet ladybug and flower blocks, this is a cheerful, traditionally pieced design that brings a lovely dose of springtime charm without needing anything too fancy in the way of techniques.

The pattern is traditionally pieced and designed for the confident beginner and up, making it a lovely next-step project if you're comfortable with basic machine piecing and ready to have a little more fun with blocks and colour. There are three finished quilt sizes included — a baby quilt and two throw sizes — so you can choose whether you're making something small and snuggly or a proper sofa-sized spring celebration.
