Elizabeth Hartman’s Posy is a gorgeous patchwork garden filled with Buttercups, Daisies, Tulips and Roses — and just like you’d expect from Elizabeth, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun with colour and fabric combinations along the way.

The blocks are made entirely from rotary-cut squares and rectangles and constructed using conventional patchwork techniques, so there are no templates and no paper piecing involved. There are quite a few pieces, including some smaller ones, but the same basic piecing techniques are used throughout. Elizabeth has included detailed cutting directions, helpful charts showing the pieces in each block, plus written instructions and full-colour diagrams for every step.

And here's the really stash-friendly bit — Posy can be made using fat quarters or precut 10" squares, making it a perfect candidate for a Layer Cake, a bundle of favourite fat quarters, or a wonderfully scrappy collection you've been saving for just the right project.
